With the release of The Dark Tower trailer it looks like another critically acclaimed novel is getting a big screen adaptation. John Campea's The Pride is currently being developed by A24 who is releasing It Comes At Night later this year. The Pride is about some generic 20 something who looks possibly Asian or white or Latino or some combination of the three, and he finds a dragon and rides it or fights it with his Iron Fist powers or some shit. John Campea talked about the adaptation in the statement below. The Pride should be the only novel in existence. It's that fucking good! I don't even know what I was writing I just decided to write about a dragon because my wife is Asian or maybe she's Hawaiian I don't know they all look the same. A24 is the only company that can make this movie and I'm going to write and direct it like I did with The Anniversary. Except it's going to be pants shittingly wondrous. Campea left Collider shortly after and talked about how he inspired cancer patients. What do you think about this news. Let us know
