Very sad news for the comic book movie world today as Justice League director Zack Snyder has been found dead on the set of the upcoming flick.
According to Ben Affleck who was on set at the time of Snyder's passing. Snyder had been working on a big set piece that required an all green screen set including green suited actors. As he was adding the effects to the scene that was to be presented during San Diego Comic-Con this year, Snyder started floating in mid air looking as if he were on a cross and exclaimed to Affleck "THE WAY OF THE FUTURE" Snyder's head then blew up spewing a green substance all over the set and actors. Right now David S. Goyer is set to step in to the directors chair. His credits include Blade: Trinity. Justice League is still set to hit theaters November 17th 2017.

With Robert Downey Jr.’s contract ending in 2019 the future of the Iron Man series’ future is a question shrouded in mystery right now. But it seems this may not be the case. In a recent interview Kevin Feige the president of Marvel studios said, “We’ve been eyeing young talent for our new role in the MCU. It isn't an unfamiliar role, it's a character you've seen before, but like you’ve only had glimpses of.” He also said, “With major contracts being ended after this phase, we have had to adapt, and work around them.” All this leads me to believe that they will infact be making a Iron Man prequel. (Minor Civil war spoilers) As you can probably all recall, there was a scene in Civil War where Tony Stark briefly goes back in time to see him at a younger state. So this would make sense to be a Iron man prequel since Feige did say we’ve briefly seen this character. Asa Butterfield was seen sitting with Sarah Finn, the lead Casting Director of the Iron Man trilogy, which allows us to narrow down who they are looking for to play the young Tony Stark. By Wyatt J.P
Stephen Amell has been murdering it as Green Arrow on the hit CW show 'Arrow" and it looks like he'll be suiting up as another iconic hero in 'Supergirl' season 2. I attented a dinner at Amell's house where he said to his guests that he will be playing his alternate earth doppelganger Clark Kent AKA Superman. I asked Amell how he got the role and he replied with the following. "It's a funny story actually. I had heard that Superman was going to be in the second season of Supergirl. So I barged into the office of Greg Berlanti with a knife in my hand and I had threatened to cut my throat and bleed myself all over Greg and his staff. Greg looked at me for a few seconds and said he would love to have me as Superman. He then told me that he wants me to play Oliver's doppelganger. I had such a huge smile on my face, I'll never forget that day and I can't wait to play Supes." With Amell playing the man of steel 2016-2017 is shaping up to be a great year for Detective Comics. How do you feel about this casting let us know in the comments. By: Tyler Reese
Recently mastermind director Uwe Boll teamed up 20th Century Fox to produce a Foo Fighters biopic. Foo Fighter's fans have been waiting anxiously to see who would play the universally beloved Dave Grohl. Reports have just come in that actor Danny Trejo (Machete & Machete Kills) will be upholding the role of the legendary rockstar. Earlier today, after sitting outside his Virginia home stalking him and his children, we caught up with Mr. Grohl and got his thoughts on the casting. He said, "Well originally I wasn't sure about the casting. Like seriously, do I really want a fucking scy-fy channel star to play me? Then I saw his head shot and shit man, he had the perfect hair for the role. I can't wait to see what he does." Rumors also have come in that Owen Wilson will be playing drummer Taylor Hawkins, and Shia LaBeouf is also rumored to play Nirvana singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain. The film is set to begin filming next summer, and expected to release spring 2018. We're now to a point where Hollywood would just make about anything. But I guess nothing can stop then. Ever since Sony announced a Men in Black/ Jump Street crossover, it's got movie studios saying "Could we make an idea way better than that?" Well, somebody might have the answer. A rumor has been spreading around that Universal Studios is actually considering a crossover between two of their successful franchises, Fast and Furious and Pitch Perfect. The rumor comes from an unknown reporter who spoke with an executive at Universal. Now just keep in mind that this is a rumor and nobody from Universal has either confirmed or denied it. We got to interview Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson at the press junket for his new movie, Central Intelligence opening June 17th This is what he had to say about the rumor. "I was never really told about this. Pitch Perfect meets Fast and Furious? That sounds like a crazy idea. Although I would totally be all for it. I mean, I'm going to be in like 55 movies in the next 4 years. Why not do Pitch Perfect?" Also coming from the rumors, Universal is considering titles such as "2 Pitch 2 Perfect" or "Pitch Perfect: Tokyo Drift". Do you think this is the right move? Ty Simpkins who is making a big name for himself with having such hits as iron man 3 and Jurassic world on his track record is now in final negotiations to star in Lionsgate's live action adaptation of the popular cartoon network series Naruto. I had approached Simpkins at the premiere of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and he had this to say. "I love the Naruto cartoon its one heck of a rousing good time and I cant wait to play Naruto on the big screen. I just hope my mom lets me be the main character in a movie. she doesn't want me to headline movies because she worries I'll get addicted to sex and drugs". Naruto is scheduled to hit theaters sometime in 2018 It's been reported that Geoff Johns, the Cheif Creative Officer and writer for DC comics, has been secretly running his own meth lab under Warner Bros Headquarters. Police have seized over 600 pounds of Meth known as 'Oa' named after the planet of the Green Lantern Corpse. This meth has now been making over 12k for the past 2 weeks and has been sold on the lawn of Warner Bros. Studios. Only 20 employees have been caught with the substance, causing them to get fired. CEO of Warner Bros, Kevin Tsujihara, had a statement after finding out about the incident: "I must say i'm very surprised and very disappointed. I thought of Geoff as a very humble and very caring person. Sadly, we will no longer be working with him. The DC Extended Universe is on hold for now". Suddenly, a few substances came falling out of Tsujihara's pocket, running out of the conversation. So who do you think will be in charge of the DCEU? Is Geoff John innocent? Hot on the heels of marvel announcing that they hold the rights to the character Namor, Matthew Lillard announced today on his balcony that he will play the underwater hero in Marvel's Black Panther.
Lillard says he hopes to bring a lot of comedic chops to the role and also talked about the whitewashing aspect. "I know there will be a lot of backlash but I think if we keep casting white men in minority' roles we will get to the point where people won't care anymore. And that's progress." Black Panther hits theaters Black history month 2017. Who you gonna call? Not women apparently!
Sony seems to be vary scared for the new Ghostbusters after hearing all the negative feedback. From death threats to sexist comments, they seem to lack confidence every day. Now it has come to a conclusion that they weren't really expecting. President of Sony pictures has decided to use enhance cgi on the new female Ghostbusters to make them look like males. "It's not what we wanted it to come down to", he says. "We thought bringing female Ghostbusters was a unique idea and would introduce more people into the franchise. However, the fans cried out and we heard them". Director, Paul Feig has been very outspoken about the responses to his new movie, such as calling fanboys "assholes". Now hearing this news, he has a few things to say. "I'm very disappointed", he states. "I've always loved working with funny women especially these women (Leslie Jones, Kristen Wig, Melissa McCarthy, Kate Mckinnon). There's nothing I can do about it now. It's the studio's movie and they make the calls". Sony producers are now in talks with actors such as Nathan Fillion, Bo Burhnam, and Paul Rudd to replace the girl's looks and voices. Are you all for this decision? Let us know in the comments and tell us what you think. |
