By adam bearThe seventh superhero that we will see in Justice League has been shrouded in mystery since the start. It was confirmed that we will see Batman, The Flash, Superman, Aquaman, Wonder-Woman, and Cyborg, but who is the seventh? Well, in a bizarre turn of events, the seventh member has just been announced by Warner Bros, the legendary superhero Animal Man.
Animal Man is a character that has been around the DC universe for a long time. His first appearance was in 1965, and has the power to gain the ability of any animal. Geoff Johns issued a statement this morning (below). "We are extremely excited to announce the seventh hero in our upcoming film, 'Justice League.' We have spent much time collaborating with our brothers at DC Comics, and have decided to bring Animal Man, an understated superhero who has a really cool power to the DCEU. We have been eyeing many people to play the role, but have narrowed it down to one person, Academy Award winning actor Jonathan Lipnicki." There is no doubt that Jonathan Lipnicki will bring something we have never seen before to the DCEU, but it is an odd choice to have an actor who has faded into obscurity quite a bit since his adventures in Stuart Little. Will Animal Man save the DC Extended Universe? Only time will tell. Stay tuned for more from Unreel News!
