Article by: Allan Kane DCEU fans, we’ve got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that Green Lantern Corps has been put on permanent hold, due to the lack of hype studied by Warner Bros. “It just wasn’t going to ever happen,” Justice League director Zack Snyder explained, during a Steeler's game, “y’know, some things happen for a reason, but Geoff and I just couldn’t figure out how to make some space police appealing for audiences.” We also got a secret interview with DC films co-producer and writer Geoff Johns on the topic. He stated, “The controversy today over Black Lives Matter just doesn’t let there be reason for a movie with over 3600 space cops harnessing the most dangerous weapon in the universe". But in better news, it was learned that Warner Bros. still has plans for green space heroes--namely Martian Manhunter. Though having expressed past hatred for the Martian (see below), Goyer told the editors here at Unreel Scoops just why he wanted to join. “I need some more cash", said Goyer. "Ever since Chris Terrio jumped in to replace me, I’ve been needing to get back to the DC Films and I’m having some creative issues with the other TV writers on Krypton. Which character am I writing for again? Oh yeah, thaaaaat guy.”
Geoff Johns stated, “In today’s society, Martian Manhunter’s abilities are of great concern. He could turn into a woman or a man in less than a second. Here at DC, we wanted to stay grounded in that realism and explore it all.” Do you think Martian Manhunter is a good idea? Should David Goyer really come back to the DCEU? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned for more unreel news.
